Wpt Releases Second Half of Season Xxi Schedule

Season XXI of the World Poker Tour is underway and enjoying yet another successful run. Recently, WPT officials announced the second half of the Season XXI schedule. The remaining schedule sees the World Poker Tour go to Liechtenstein for the first time and a return trip to the Star Gold Coast in September.

World Poker Tour Announces Second Half of Season XXI Schedule

Last week, the World Poker Tour announced the second half of its Season XXI schedule. The remainder of the schedule will feature seven events with four Prime and three Main tour stops. Five of the seven stops will be international stops, with the final two being held in Florida in the United States.

According to Adam Pliska, WPT CEO, “As we build out the remainder of the schedule for Season XXI of the World Poker Tour, we are happy to be returning to some familiar WPT hosts while we also welcome a first-ever stop in Liechtenstein, continuing our pledge to bring poker to loyal players around the globe.”

The tour will head to Liechtenstein for the first time in September. The Prime series will feature a Main Event with a buy-in of CHF 1,100. Other prime stops include trips to France, Taiwan, and Spain.

Tour Returns for WPT Australia in September

As previously announced, the World Poker Tour will return to Australia in September for WPT Australia. The event will run from September 22nd through 27th at The Star Gold Coast. The buy-in for the Main Event will be $8,000.

Last year’s Main Event drew 710 players for the then $5,400 buy-in event. The total prize pool was over $3.5 million, with the eventual winner receiving $647,470. David Tang came out on top of the massive field to take down the event and his first World Poker Tour title.

Officials were impressed with the turnout and quickly announced they would return. With Aussie Millions now on an extended hiatus, the WPT Australia is effectively the largest live poker event in the nation.

If you wish to play at the WPT Australia, there will be a festival starting on September 14th at the casino. This will feature preliminary tournaments along with qualifiers for the Main Event. You can check WorldPokerTour.com for additional qualifier information as the event draws closer.

Tour Closes Out Season With Two Stops in America

The two final stops in Season XXI will play out in America. The first stop will be at the WPT bestbet Scramble in Jacksonville, FL. The Scramble returns for the first time since 2019 and will feature a Main Event with a $5,000 buy-in.

The final event will be the popular Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open in Hollywood, FL. This series has run since 2011 and always boasts massive crowds. Eight of the 10 largest tournaments in WPT history have come from this series.

This year, the Main Event features a $3,500 buy-in. With it being one of the final major events of the poker year, expect this to be another potentially record-setting event.
