Gg Spring Festival Announced For 4-25 April

GGNetwork, the host of GGPoker and Natural8, just announced a tournament series for April with the largest series guarantee ever offered in online poker history. The GG Spring Festival will guarantee that players will win at least $150M from 4 April through 25 April. The full series will host more than 300 tournaments in all.

$150 Million Guaranteed

It is almost unthinkable. A series that will run for just three weeks in April will promise to award at least $150M in tournament prize pool money.

The GGPoker Spring Festival will run 4-25 Apri on GGNetwork sites. There will be 110 events, each with three different buy-in levels – low, medium, and high. This will allow players of all bankrolls to participate throughout the series.

Of the 110 events, thirty-nine of them will offer guarantees of at least $1M. And two of those will offer $10M guarantees each.

Players will also be able to participate in weekly leaderboards, earning points for every tournament they play and every in-the-money finish. Each week, there will be three levels of leaderboards:

• Week 1: $50K Low Leaderboard, $100K Medium, $150K High
• Week 2: $50K Low Leaderboard, $100K Medium, $150K High
• Week 3: $75K Low Leaderboard, $125K Medium, $200K High

Altogether, the leaderboards will award $1M throughout the series.

Players can also follow along with streamed broadcasts of some of the biggest final tables on GGPoker.TV. The ones listed so far are:

• Event H-5 final table on 6 April: $10,300 NLHE Super Million$ ($3M GTD)
• Main Event final table on 20 April: $10,300 NLHE Super Million$ ($10M GTD)
• Event H-108 final table on 27 April: $10,300 NLHE Super Million$ ($3M GTD)

Standout Spring Festival Events

GGNetwork separated the series into three weeks in a way similar to that of a music festival.

The first week is called the “Opening Stage, which will feature two big events with low buy-ins and big guarantees:

• Opening Act: $80 NLHE ($1M GTD)
• Opening Act: $80 PLO-NL ($500K GTD)

The second week will feature three headliners with bigger buy-ins and much bigger guarantees:

• Super Million$ Main Event: $10,300 NLHE ($10M GTD)
• Headliner: $400 NLHE ($2.5M GTD)
• Headliner: $400 PLO-NL ($1M GTD)

For the third and final week, the Main Events are the clear highlights:

• Main Event: $1,500 NLHE ($10M GTD)
• Main Event: $1,500 PLO-NL ($2M GTD)

Guarantees of $1M or More

As for the full schedule, GG already released it here. For now, we can focus on the 39 tournaments with buy-ins of $1M or more. While many players can’t afford the buy-ins for these events, there will be satellites running around the clock to win seats at a discount.

While everyone is welcomed to play any tournament on the GG Spring Festival schedule, there are some designated for Asia. This merely means that the starting times cater to players located in the Asia-Pacific region. There are 18 of those tournaments. Each one listed here is a three-tiered event that lists the buy-ins and guarantees from high to medium and low.
