New Online Casino Game: Halloween Treasures
Boo! It’s that time of year. Halloween is approaching, and all of the Halloween-themed online casino games move to the featured section of the sites. And if a game developer wants to release a new online casino game with a scary theme, there is no better time to do so than in October.
Enter Realtime Gaming.
It released its Halloween Treasures this month, just in time for the season. There are also mini, minor, major, and grand jackpots up for grabs, which adds to the excitement.
Players can find this new RTG game on Fair Go Casino or Uptown Pokies.
Halloween Treasures Basics
A traditional 5-reel online slot, Halloween Treasures offers three rows and 243 paylines.
This online casino game is set against a brick wall, outlined by vines and surrounded by pumpkins and candles. The music is spooky, pairing perfectly with the theme and some of the very detailed and vivid Halloween symbols. Even the A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9 look like tombstones and sit in the mud. The game is bright and colorful, despite the scary theme.
Payouts for Halloween Treasures
The player can choose his or her bet, starting at $0.01. But with the 243-way pays, that makes the minimum bet $0.88. The highest bet possible is $0.10, making the max bet $8.80. It is definitely not a online casino game for high rollers, but the game can produce a payout of 50,000x the bet.
As for the symbols, their values are set in coins to be awarded based on the player’s bet. Based on five symbols hitting on a payline, payouts are:
- Crystal ball = 50
- Pumpkin = 30 (bright pumpkin = 600)
- Vampire = 30 (bright vampire = 300)
- Witch’s hat = 20 (bright hat = 200)
- Melting candles = 20 (bright candles = 150)
- Bright potion bottle = 100
- A, K, Q, J, 10, or 9 = 15 each
The bright symbols appear more frequently when playing higher bets. At the highest bets, all of the symbols are bright, meaning the payouts are much higher.
Halloween Treasures Features and Gameplay
There is a lot to look for when playing Halloween Treasures.
First, there are the magic doors. When they appear on reels two, three, or four, they are wild and substitute for all symbols except the RIP tombstone. The doors also open to release gems that fly up to the basket above the reels.
Second, the RIP tombstones may only appear on the middle reel but serve as a wild and substitute for all symbols except the crystal ball and the magic door. When this shows in a winning combination, that payout is multiplied up to 5x.
Three or more crystal ball symbols trigger the free games feature, and the 12 free spins begin. During those spins, more of the higher-paying symbols replace the A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9.
Ultimately, players will want to hit the main feature, which gives the player 12 coins on the screen. Clicking on the various coins reveal one of four jackpot symbols. When three identical symbols appear, that particular jackpot is awarded.
- Ghost = mini jackpot
- Zombie = minor jackpot
- Witch = major jackpot
- Pirate = grand jackpot
When the basket of jewels at the top of the screen gets full enough, it explodes to trigger this feature. The jackpots are only available to those betting at the higher end of the spectrum.
Fan Favorite Halloween Witch is Back
Booongo Entertainment released its seasonal game before this year, but Halloween Witch is especially popular this month.
Halloween Witch Basics
The 5-reel video slot game has four rows and 1,024 paylines. Its RTP is 96.4%.
The game with the friendly, attractive witch takes place at night, with the background lit by candles. Everything relating to Halloween lurks behind or next to the reels – cemetery headstones, twisted trees, a spooky doorway, chains, and images of bats. And the soundtrack perfectly matches the game.
Payouts for Halloween Witch
The bets for Halloween Witch can be changed by clicking the stack of chips to the right of the reels. The lowest bet is $0.50 per spin, and the max bet is $50.00.
The top-paying symbols are the scatters and the bonus, each worth $50.00 for five of them on a payline, when betting $0.50 per spin. (The scatter reads “trick or treat” on the ghost tombstone, and the bonus reads “bonus” on the cauldron.)
All other symbols pay as follows for five of each at the lowest betting value:
- Pumpkin-headed character = $10.00
- Halloween witch with cat = $5.00
- Halloween witch close-up = $7.50
- Cat close-up = $7.50
- Vampire = $4.00
- Frankenstein = $3.00
- Ghost = $2.00
- Brown witch hat = $1.50
- Potion bottle = $1.20
- Lantern = $1.00
- Ball and chain = $0.75
- Skull with candle = $0.50
Note that the pumpkin-headed character is also a wild.
Halloween Witch Features and Gameplay
The scatter symbols mentioned above are the key to obtaining free spins. Three or more “trick or treat” symbols garner 20 free spins. During the free spins, all wins are multiplied by two. And if three or more scatter symbols appear during those spins, an additional 20 spins are added.
Players are looking for bonus symbols, as three or more of them trigger the bonus game. When the bonus begins, the Halloween witch stands in front of her cauldron, and the player picks the items behind the three curtains. Each ingredient has a dollar value, which is revealed after the witch mixes it into the stew.
If the three symbols are identical, the player receives 10 free spins.
One addition feature is a respin. After every spin, the amount it costs the player to respin each reel is located at the bottom of each reel. Players can choose to spin one or more reels to improve their payouts.
